Our Story

Myanmar Polestar was originally set up as a family business in 2001. From starting as tour guides our Chairman, Kyaw Min Htin, and Managing Director, Aung Lin Htin have built from their knowledge and experience to create our successful Inbound tour operator. Over the years, our staff has grown to thirty knowledgeable and passionate individuals, operating out of our Yangon office.
From the outset, we specialized in serving Japanese customers, offering a wide spectrum of products and services. In 2013, our long-lasting business relationships culminated in a joint venture between Myanmar Polestar and JTB, one of the leading destination management companies in Japan.
Building on our extensive 16 years of experience from the Japanese market, and by adapting our products to the taste of travelers from Europe and North America, we are now devoting our full attention to our clients from these markets.
In 2015 and 2016 growth and expansion continues with partnerships formed between Destination Services and Pacific World.
Since 2011, we have been witness to major changes in Myanmar. The developments in all areas are fast-paced and Myanmar’s recent opening up has brought about excellent business opportunities.  At the same time, we are aware that our country is facing considerable challenges in dealing with the influx of visitors.
Moreover, our founder and Chairman is actively engaged in shaping and advising tourism development at the national scale by acting as the Vice Chairman of the Union of Myanmar Travel Association, the Joint Secretary General of the Myanmar Tourism Federation and as a member of the Executive Committee for the Myanmar Tourism Marketing Association.

Our Strengths

Since 2001, Myanmar Polestar has been operating as one of the first travel pioneers in Myanmar. Before founding Myanmar Polestar, our managing director worked as a tour guide, and therefore has extensive experience “on the ground”, knowing the needs and concerns of our travelers.
Our ambitious Myanmar and foreign full-time team members go to great lengths to meet your every need: be it a package tour to one of Myanmar’s most popular tourism spots, or a tailor made individual itinerary to off-the-beaten track destinations.
Most importantly, we never forget that each visitor, each group and each tourism experience, is unique and requires personalized service. By focusing on the expectations and wishes of the client, we create unforgettable memories and the trip of a lifetime to our Golden Land.

Our Products

As a medium-sized inbound tour operator, we arrange services in Myanmar, and package them into products that are subsequently marketed abroad by our partners or sold directly to our clients.
Our products range from individual services such as flights, hotels, sightseeing tours, transfers, and cruises to fully-fledged packages including a guide, meals, accommodation and transportation.  With our partnership with Pacific World we also are able to cater for the MICE market for our corporate clients. In addition, by working with one of our foreign partners, we can also arrange services beyond Myanmar’s borders, for instance to Thailand, and combine it into one package.

Our Vision

To be the leading organization to deliver the extraordinary service for the customers & guiding them to a better life, better place & better future
In line with our Vision, Mission and Values, we are consistent to improve every single day through our regular training, exchanges & meetings. Myanmar Polestar is striving to create a better life, better place & better future for our own staff and as a result, Myanmar Polestar has dedicated staff to serve you.
