Day 1 – Mandalay
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by our friendly English-speaking guide, and taken to your hotel to drop off your things, and freshen up after your flight. For sunset, make your way to Mandalay Hill for a great for over this magnicient city. For dinner, watch a traditional puppet show, as you sample you first taste of Myanmar food. Day 2 – Mandalay – Inle Lake
There is the option to wake at the crack of dawn this morning, and make your way to U Bein Bridge for sunrise, the best time to capture this glorious structure. After breakfast, head to the airport for a short flight to Inle Lake. Upon arrival, board a boat, and go on a full days exploration of this incredible lake, passing by floating gardens, local fishermen, and visiting silk workshops on the lake Overnight – Novotel Inle Lake Myat Min Hotel
Day 3 – Inle Lake
This morning, make your way through the Shan mountains by car, to the Green Hill Valley Elephant Sancutary, an hour and a half drive away. Feed, interact, and bath the retired elephants here, a truly rewarding experience. Return back to Inle Lake after lunch, and have the rest of your day at leisure. Day 4 – Inle Lake – Sankar
Following breakfast, board a boat and make your way to Inle Heritage restaurant for a cooking class with a master chef. This environmentally sustainable property is a little oasis on the lake, and is also a training school for local Inthar wanting to take their first steps into hospitality. After learning how to cook your very own Myanmar food, get back onto the boats and head towards Sankar, on the far South side of the lake. Overnight – A Little Lodge in Sankar
Day 5 – Sankar – Loikaw
Your hotel is located in a truly unique spot off the tourist trail, and this morning you can explore and relax in this incredible location. After lunch get back on the boat and make your way towards Loikaw, the capital of Kayah State. Overnight – Kayah Resort
Day 6 – Loikaw
Following breakfast at your hotel, head out to Pemsong village, an hour drive from Loikaw. From here you will commence your days trek through Kayah State with incredible views throughout. Learn about the local edible plants, and herbal medicines used here along the way. A highlight is arriving at Pan Pet, perched on a mountain top, which is considered the very first settlement in Kayah State. Overnight – Kayah Resort
Day 7 – Loikaw
Today make your way to Hta Nee La Leh village, a 30 minute drive from Loikaw. You will be welcomed here by the local community before visiting Kayhtoebo site and Hunting Shire, to learn about the local beliefs and spiritual life. From here take an ox cart ride to the scenic 7 lakes where a delicious Kayah Barbecue will have been prepared. Throughout your day, your will encounter many cultural interactions with the local population. Overnight – Kayah Resort
Day 8 – Loikaw – Yangon – Depart
Enjoy your last breakfast in Myanmar before heading to the airport for your flight back to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer to the international airport for your flight back home.
